UPDATE - DOTD has announced the repairs on LA 346 have been completed and the roadway has been reopened.

EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE: LA 346 in DeSoto Parish


The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that LA 346 between LA 513 and LA 175, located about 4 miles north of the Village of Pelican in DeSoto Parish, is closed to through traffic due to the washout of two pipes under the roadway.

DOTD crews are assessing the situation, and determining the necessary repairs in order to reopen the highway. There is currently no timeline on when LA 346 will be reopened.

Access is being maintained for local traffic only.

Alternate route: Detour signage will be in place.
