DeSoto Parish Animal Services is an open admission animal control and adoption facility. DeSoto Parish Animal Services mission is to protect the lives and welfare of the public and companion animals from other nuisance, sick, dangerous, and uncontrollable animals. We provide responsive, efficient, and quality animal control and care services while offering animals for adoption.
DeSoto Parish Mosquito Control
DeSoto Parish Mosquito Control has a seasonal spray program in place that begins late April through late October. We accept spray requests from citizens. Upon receiving a spray request, the Mosquito Control Officer will conduct a Premise Inspection to determine if there are any potential breeding or harboring sites. We will then spray the premise if required and/or make recommendations to the resident.
